Blanket Fitting Set — 50mm (Male, Female & Slide)
A rug buckle gives way at the worst possible time. A horse rolls, catches a surcingle on a gate latch, and a strap that was fine yesterday is now hanging loose in the mud. The rug itself is usually perfectly sound — it is the fitting that has gone.
This is that fitting, sold as a complete replacement set. You get all three working parts of one cross-over strap: the male half, the female half it locks into, and the slide that sets the strap length.
Thread the webbing, set your adjustment, and the rug is back in service. No stitching, no specialist tools, no trip into town.
The set is made from nickel-plated mild steel at 50mm — a working weight rather than a show fitting. The plating is there to hold off rust through wet winters and daily handling, and the 50mm body suits the standard cross-over surcingle straps found on most stable, turnout and waterproof rugs.
Keep a set in the tack room. A spare fitting is the difference between a five-minute repair and a horse standing unrugged in July.
